Saddened to hear the passing of Ian Mellor a lovely lovely chap RIP Spider you’ll be sadly missed by me and all the lads. Spider played in the years that really got me watching the Owls, and was a winger like myself. Ingrained in SWFC folklore for scoring in the Boxing Day Massacre which I was privileged to witness. RIP Spider

Gerd Muller
Gerd Muller was the nugget center-forward hardly touched the ball in some matches but was on hand to slot the half chance. It was just such a goal in the '74 World Cup final.
